Amazon Fire TV 4K

Amazon announced the new Fire TV and Fire TV Stick yesterday, Fire TV now can stream 4K and comes equip with Alexa. In order to support 4K they’ve upgraded to a 64-bit quad-core Mediatek processor with a dedicated GPU and roughly 2GB of RAM. It will still only have 8GB of internal storage but does have a microSD card slot. The Fire TV will also support HEVC(H265) as well as the standard H264. It will now support Dolby Audio and the wireless upgraded to 802.11ac MIMO for expanded range and performance. The new Fire TV will be available October 5th, 2015 for $99, for $40 more you can score the gaming edition that includes the gaming controller($49 value), two free games(Ducktales and Shovel Knight) and a 32GB microSD card.

The new Fire TV Stick will be available with a voice remote and will be available on October 22nd, 2015 for $49 but will also be available with the normal remote for $39. The new Fire TV Stick claims to have 4x the storage and 2x the memory of Chromecast citing a dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM.
