If you plan to stream Netflix to multiple screens at the same time expect to pay more per month for that luxury. I recently discovered this when I tried to watch something on my smart TV and realized I left Netflix streaming in the other room on the Roku along with my wife using Netflix on her phone. I was offered the ability to stream to 4 screens instead of 2 for $4 more per month.
This is Netflix’s attempt to curb account sharing, although in a recent earnings call Netflix CEO Reed Hastings said shared accounts should be limited to immediate family members only.
Netflix will allow you to stream to 2 screens at once for $7.99 or 4 screens at once for $11.99. I know it’s just $4 a month more, but what other changes are likely to come?
